TREATMENT DETAILS

Skin is cleansed with an anti-microbial antiseptic solution

Topical anaesthetic is used to make the skin comfortable prior to injections

Ideally 3-4 treatments are required 3-4 weeks apart

WHAT ARE polynucleotides AND WHAT DO THEY DO?

Polynucleotides are derived from purified and stabalised natural Alaskan Salmon DNA.

Made into a special injectable gel, the long chain of polynucleotides promote deep hydration and scavenge free radicals to activate tired aged skin and damaged cells, to act younger and work again, giving a lifting, tightening effect to the skin. Working at cellular level to repair and regenerate tissue. Polynucleotides have been used in medicine since 1986.

HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?

Yvonne allows 45 to 60 minutes for an appointment. This is because she applies a topical anaesthetic cream to numb the area prior to treatment. This needs to be on the skin for 20 to 30 minutes pre-injection for your comfort.

WILL THE TREATMENT BE PAINFUL?

The Dermal fillers also contain a local anaesthetic called lidocaine for your added comfort. Sometimes a needle is used to inject, and sometimes a blunt- ended cannula. This depends on the site of injection. As a rule you are less likely to bruise when a cannula is used. Yvonne is highly skilled and precise in her technique, and so minimises any discomfort.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT AFTER polynucleotides TREATMENT?

A little swelling is normal and should subside after 2-3 days. We can never guarantee 100% that you won’t sustain a bruise after putting a needle into the skin, but this is short lasting. Arnica cream is applied, should you be unfortunate to receive a bruise.

Around day 20 you should start to see an improvement in your skin as this is a regenerative treatment, not like an instant dermal filler.
